Review and publish

Publish or return a revision, choose who moves to it, and decide when a source changes.

Only a course's named reviewer publishes its revisions. A published revision never changes, and every completion stays bound to the revision it was made against.

Publish or return a revision

Revisions waiting for you appear under Waiting for my review on My learning. Open one to read every lesson and the assessment as learners will see them.

To publish, choose what happens When published:

  • Keep current assignments on their revision: people finish the revision they started.
  • Move open assignments to this revision: people still working move to the new revision.
  • Also reassign everyone who completed an earlier revision: everyone takes the new revision, including those already done.

Set the Days to complete a reassignment, add a note if you like, and press Publish this revision.

To send it back instead, write What needs changing and press Return to author. Earlier completions stay bound to the revision they were made against.

When a source changes

When an author uploads a new version of a source, every course whose published lessons cite the earlier version shows Source changed to its reviewer, naming the old and new version numbers. Read the change and record your decision:

  • No material change to the training: the course stays as it is.
  • Training needs updating (the draft is being revised): the author updates the lessons and submits a new revision, which you publish with the reassignment you choose.

Proposed changes

An author's agent can propose changes to a course draft, with the source passages it relies on and anything it could not find. They appear on the course page as Proposed change: Apply to draft or Decline. Applying changes only the draft; nothing is published until a reviewer publishes a revision.
